Crockpot Grits



1 c. grits (not instant or quick grits)
5 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter


Combine all in crock pot; cook on low 6-8 hours. Season/garnish as desired.

  1. These were the best grits I've ever eaten! They were so smooth and creamy. If you follow the recipe, they are pretty plain, but you can jazz them up however you prefer. I actually liked them straight out of the bowl.
